As petrolheads, we all love to be as fast as possible, but sometimes we forget a crucial element when increasing engine power... The braking system. If you have more power, you'll also need more braking force! Brakes provide the assurance to bring the car to a stop and maintain control. There are 3 important elements in increasing your braking force. At number one are tires. Even if you have the braking power of an F1 car, without being able to transfer this power to the road, it adds no value. In second place come the brake pads, and in third place, larger brake discs or a complete big brake kit. Braking itself is a simple system, but the interaction of all components can sometimes become complex.
