From boring convertible to track-ready two-seater!

Youtuber Boaz has been a familiar face at Fullcartuning for years! You can view the vlogger's widebody Nissan 350Z in our showroom, and he regularly stops by for new goodies for his latest projects. While he couldn't delve too deeply into technical details on his main YouTube channel, on his extra channel called Boaz Garage, he can really let loose for the petrolheads.

In his latest DIY series, you can see how he makes his beloved pink Mazda MX-5 track-ready himself! From skirts to wheels and from coilovers to mirrors—everything is addressed. All this naturally happens in the Fullcartuning workshop.

Each video tackles a different part of the car, explained in a low-threshold yet detailed manner. The fun part is that you can build along with your own MX-5! You can precisely see which items are mounted on his pink convertible via the page. Do you have an MX-5 that you've always wanted to work on, but don't know where to start? Then this is the series for you! Here you can always find the newest episode. So keep an eye on this page to not miss anything!

Episode 4: Lighting

Time to give the lighting of the MX-5 a makeover! Boaz finds the original lights of his pink Mazda outdated, so he decides to replace all the lights around the car. The goal? To give the MX-5 a fresh, modern look and improve visibility in the dark.

Boaz starts by installing stylish SK-Import Halo headlights and sleek black turn signals. Next, he moves to the side of the car, where the old indicators are replaced with dynamic turn signals. These add a modern flair to the vehicle. At the rear, Boaz installs a brand-new unit, also equipped with dynamic turn signals for that extra touch.

The highlight of the upgrade is the installation of the 'wink mod,' an essential detail for any NA MX-5 enthusiast. This way, Boaz's MX-5 not only gets improved visibility and a modern look but also a nod to the fans.

Episode 3: Handling

In episode 3, the focus is on the MX-5's handling. Currently, it feels a bit floaty and spongy. This can be improved by addressing the suspension. Boaz immediately gets to work by installing an MTS Technik Sport coilover kit, Whiteline sway bar, and Whiteline strut brace. All this ensures that the Mazda lies tighter on the road, ideal for those looking for that real go-kart feeling! The installation is explained step by step, including moments when things don't go entirely according to plan.

Also in this video, Boaz shows which parts he installs, so you can build along at home!

Episode 2: From lip to mirror

In this episode, Boaz dives deeper into the looks and aerodynamic upgrades of his bright pink project. He focuses on adding a front splitter, installing side skirts, mounting widening flaps for a broader look, and replacing the mirrors.

Boaz starts by installing the PU Design bumper lip for that low look. Next, it's time for the PU Design side skirts. These work in tandem with the bumper lip to visually balance the car. Then, Boaz moves on to the corresponding widening flaps, giving the pink two-seater a broader look. Finally, he discusses the installation of new carbon F1 Style side mirrors, which not only look good but also improve all-around visibility (if you mount them right, Boaz. :-))

If you want to get started with your MX-5, use this video to see how you can do it yourself. Good luck!

Episode 1: Steering

A new steering wheel can make a world of difference, says Boaz. There are various materials available that can provide more grip. Additionally, a different steering wheel can create more leg space, which is very handy in an MX-5, especially if you're taller! In this video, you are taken step-by-step through the process of installing a new steering wheel. Boaz explains why he opts for the Vigor Daytona steering wheel and you learn how to safely disconnect the airbag. Also, the wiring is neatly tucked away. And what exactly is a snap-off system?

By clearly explaining every phase of the process, Boaz inspires viewers to get started on their own MX-5.
